I bought this C5 for just two years. they claim that suspension system is third generations. Very reliable and can be used for 100 000 KM without any maintainance. But their design (high oil pressure) or the part got defect, my oil pipe got oil leakage, Eventually, the motor also burn down by the oil leakage. Cost me a lot of money to fix it. For those people have interests with this system,, please watch out. Once this system got problem, your car can not move, If they dont hv spare part, you might need to wait for long, Anyway, I m very upset with their service and attitude when they handle this. Can not believe their third generations suspension is so bad and not reliable,

Yes, you can say so,, I thought that 3rd generation suspension system should be reliable, but really let me down, Citroen can not responsible for this young car (only run 11500KM).I dont knwo how long this brand can do business in Taiwan or gain trust from consumers. I would like to share this painful experience. Hope people dont fall into this trap again, The traditon suspension might be still the best. Citrone should spent more time or give up this idea, Dont cheat the client with this third or fourth generation suspensino in the future. The other terrible thing is the people in their after sales service deparment, They say nothing they can do, and hope we talk to their France directly, If I were their GM, They all can go home,

In fact C5 is a good car, just the distributor's planning is maintained , serves problematically!

i thought it is a good car, especialy the suspension come to third generations, But the thing is for a young car,(run less than 12000KM),, they still refuse to give warrent for the defect of their parts. Is that mean that they also dont have confidence for this third generations design?? I spent 1mio twd plus for this car. really deeply regret now,,regret for the price, regret for this third generation design, regret for this brand.

I almost made up my mind to buy a C5 few years ago when my wife bought a Xsara and I saw a lot of C5 running in France. The styling of Xsara is really good when compared with most of the small Japanese car. And I know the safety is also much better. The Xsara is really a fun car to drive especially the steering if it gets enough power and torque. Well, 4 years after my wife's Xsara, I found the maintenance cost is really high, automatic shift is bad and the engine is really noisy. The unchanged thing is the steering is still good while power is still poor.

Last year, I took very serious to consider a new car and again I almost purchase a Xsara Picasso or C5. But finally I choose a Honda Accord for it has a good styling (my view point), good steering, fair house power and toque, steer stereo controller and constant temperature control. Despite a little bit shaky at idle, it is a nice car. You may want to give it a try and with the budget (spend) you can buy a 3.0 V6.

The funniest thing is, I asked my wife to consider a soon coming Honda new car FIT and dump the Xsara. So there you have it, dump the C5 and get another car. (I am not a car seller). French is good for their designing, fashion, scenery, food,…but may not be a car.

yes, I shall serious thinking of this, Dump C5 and get others before I find more problems in C5. Now I really understand why that C5 got good appearance but never can be popular in asia or even in Taiwan. Service still important factor when we consider to buy a car. I can understand why Lexus or Double B are so popular here. This is something that Citroen can never catch up. How can they leave consumder behind and ask client to talk to Citroen in France direct,, that is unbelieveable to me,,
